Cosplay time! Freyakins as Kotori Minami!

Here's something a little different from what I've been posting but I want to do more often when I can. My beautiful friend Freyakins in her Love Live! cosplay of Kotori in the training outfit. I'm a 100% newbie when it comes to photographing people, I find it a bit scary! But also I want to create images that show how wonderful that person is. I think Freya looks really beautiful in her cosplay and I hope these photos show her how amazing she looks and that she keeps at it and does more! This is only a small part of a full set I did but I'm having a lot of internet trouble at the moment. I will update this post later in the week with the rest of the images. I hope these are okay for now. If you have any constructive advice on taking portraits, please tell me as I want to improve!

Alpaca is always relevant!
Gimmie your hearts!

Fighto!

This one is my favourite as I think I tried my best here and managed to get a really good portrait of a beautiful cosplayer!

EDIT, here's the rest :)

Honoka Kosaka 1/8 Scale Figure

Hello again, I found all these photos I took a while back when I purchased this beauuuutiful figure but I never go round to doing anything with them until now. So here we go, the lovely Miss Honoka Kosaka in all her 1/8 scale beauty wearing her outfit from the first OP "Bokura wa ima no naka de"!

She came out in November 2014 and cost around 9074 JPY which is roughly £49. I didn't photograph the box but it was a lovely one, covered in sparkles naturally *___* For those who don't recognise the character she is from a charming anime called Love Live! School Idol Project. Think K-On! with idols.... If you want something light hearted but still emotional and easy to watch then I recommend giving it a go. I really enjoyed it ^_^
This figure was released by Good Smile company, is made from PVC, around 180mm in height and was sculpted by Katsuyoshi Miyajima and Ajiken.

My initial impressions when I received the figure were how pretty she looked but also how small she is considering her 1/8 scale. Then I remembered that Honoka is only supposed to be 157cm tall so it makes sense. She just seems so dainty next to some of my other scaled figures haha.
The painting and attention to detail on this figure is great and there are a few little details that really made me smile.

I'll warn you now, this is an image heavy post! I don't have 'pro' knowledge of figures, I'm just sharing my thoughts and sharing the beauty of the figure. Enjoy!

Honoka's pose is very fluid and natural looking, as if she's been frozen in the moment of doing what she loves most. Her clothes and hair flow perfectly with the movement she's making.

Pure joy~

I find the sparkle under her eyes quite wonderful, it really brings out her upbeat personality and passion for what she's doing. I really admire the attention to the frills on her top as well, each one carefully sculpted so it stands out and looks pretty.

Even the earrings and gloves have the details done on point.

Such ruffles!

The curve of her back is an odd detail to point out I suppose but it just looks really appealing to me.

Great shading in the legs to give them shape.

Ruffles and ribbons everywhere, something I love about the outfit.

The stripes on the skirt are hand painted and I think this really gives the skirt a more realistic look and makes each figure unique ^__^

The stand is in pink which is one of Honoka's signature colours.
